right. the alignment gets ALL out of whack and then you can't even get back to the home menu so you use the welcome screen to get to the digitizer. answer: portable keyboard. it has a button that will take you to the apps menu, and from there you can play around until you hit the welcome screen.

i know this doesn't help if you don't have that keyboard, but i bet you can find one on ebay without too much trouble.
